Praying Over You
Mark your calendars! Every Thursday afternoon around 3 PM central time, we will be praying over you. We pray a lot here at Creating a Great Day. Some of you know you can send us specific prayer requests. We will pray over them and even send back a personalized written prayer for you.
So What’s the Change?
Of course, you can still send us a message over Facebook Messenger or email us your prayer requests and we will respond with a written prayer over your situation. BUT now we will also be doing Facebook Live every Thursday to pray over you.
There is just something special about having someone pray over us orally that renews our spirits. Wouldn’t you agree? So that is what we would like to do for you–encourage and renew your spirit!
Continue to send us your requests and we will be praying over them. We are thankful for the opportunity to lift you up to the heavenly throne. If you feel comfortable allowing us to pray for you in a Facebook “community” setting, then we will do it there too. We don’t have to use your name, if you would rather stay anonymous, that’s fine. We can just pray over your situation.
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
A Challenge for You
Of course, we’d like to give you a little challenge too.
If you are like me, you may be very uncomfortable praying out loud over someone. I literally felt the Holy Spirit push me out of my comfort zone on this years ago and still find it easier at times than others. So if you are uncomfortable praying out loud for someone too, don’t worry. That’s not this week’s challenge.
This week’s challenge is to send someone a written prayer. It could be over text, email, Facebook messenger, in a note card…the options are endless. Pray about who you should send it to and then write it out. Do it before you forget! Don’t miss the opportunity to encourage whomever God has put on your heart.
Prayer over our Hearts
Lord, you know exactly what we need before we even present our requests to you. You know exactly who needs to hear an extra bit of your love today. Help us to not be afraid or embarrassed to pray over others. We know you hear our hearts even if we stumble over the words. Let us use this amazing tool of prayer you’ve given us to strengthen our brothers and sisters in Christ and keep the devil at bay. Thank you for wanting to have a personal relationship with us! It’s amazing that the God of the universe wants to hear our deepest thoughts and wants us to know Him more. In the One who made this possible–Amen!

What a great idea this is – we should be all praying for each other – especially these days!
I used to be terrified to pray out loud over others. So happy I’ve overcome the spirit of fear.
