You’re Not Alone {Music Monday}

I am an Oklahoman by birth, a Texan by current living situation, but claim the world as my playground.I love to travel and hope to someday soon take our family on adventures to far off lands, where we can share God with others and experience all the wonders He has created.

I am a mother of 5 crazy, homeschooling children ages 10 & under, wife to an amazing man, and daughter of the King of the Universe!I enjoy reading, making my kids laugh, cooking, all things natural, learning to play guitar and dusting off my piano skills.One day I hope to run again, but until then I’m learning patience.

Always remember you’re not alone in this world!  This phrase from Amy Grant’s song, You’re Not Alone, is a song that has been echoing in my heart recently.

It’s funny….the last time I actually remember listening to this song was when I was a tween.  I would play my original Nintendo with the music muted while dancing and singing to her album, Heart in Motion.

At that time, I just sang the words and didn’t really understand there meaning.  But lately, as I sing it in my mind, I can’t help but hold on to the basic truth…

We are NEVER, EVER alone in this world!

God is ALWAYS with us.  Even when we do not recognize He is there.  He is!

The Bible is chock-full of reminders that we are never alone!  Here are just a few of my favorites.

The Lord is good to all;
he has compassion on all he has made
Psalm 145:9

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.
John 14:16-17

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4

Praise the Lord for His faithfulness!

I’ve found that at certain times in life whether physically by myself or in the midst of other people, I can feel alone.  Like no one else understands what I’m going through or cares. This is exactly how the devil wants us to feel.  If he can get us thinking that no one else has experienced what we are going through, he can try to shame us somehow and keep us from connecting and opening up to our church family or God. He will even convince us that God cannot love us in our state or understand our loneliness.

Praise the Lord, for Jesus walking this earth.  Because of Jesus leaving heaven to live life here on planet earth, we are never alone physically or emotionally.  Jesus knows every feeling we could possibly feel and He reminds us that with God at our right hand, we will not fall.

So the next time you start feeling alone, don’t let the devil convince you are, but think of that “alone” feeling like this…

A – Always

L – Loved

O – Overwhelmingly from

N – Now to

E – Eternity

God has you, He created you and He is faithful to all he has made!  You are NEVER alone, when you are walking with the Lord!
